The project’s objective was to create an interactive invitation for an imaginary event. I chose the exhibition of famous American painter, Jackson Pollock.

Pollock was an influential American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was well known for his unique style of drip painting. That’s why I decided to make an invitation in a form of a scratch card – the text is visible only after the user reveals it by ‘painting’ on it – either with their cursor or finger on mobile devices. Not only does it create interaction between user and invitation, but also helps to understand the medium Pollock was using.

I chose the colors and shapes loosely referring to Pollock’s most known painting, No. 5.
